( 1937-), US actor, director, and screenwriter; born Henry Warren Beaty; the brother of actress Shirley MacLaine. He produced Bonnie and Clyde (1967), wrote and produced Shampoo (1975), codirected Heaven Can Wait (1978), and was producer, cowriter, and Academy Award-winning director of Reds (1981). He starred in them all.
