Easter Island

Definition of Easter Island in English:

An island in the southeastern Pacific Ocean, west of and administered by Chile; population 3,300 (est. 2009). The island, first settled by Polynesians in about ad 400, is famous for its large monolithic statues of human heads that are believed to date from 1000–1600.
