Definition of Fulbright, William in English:

( 1905–95), US senator; full name James William Fulbright. An Arkansas Democrat, he sponsored the Fulbright Act of 1946, which authorized funds from the sale of surplus war materials overseas to be used to finance exchange programs of students and teachers between the US and other countries. The program now is supported by federal grants.
