  • (1916–87), US entertainer; born Herbert John Gleason; known as the Great One. He is best known for his comedic work on television on The Jackie Gleason Show between 1952 and 1970 and as bus driver Ralph Kramden on The Honeymooners (1955–56). He also appeared on Broadway in Take Me Along (1959) and in movies such as The Hustler (1961) and Nothing in Common (1986).
