Definition of Hypatia in English:

( Circa 370–415), Greek philosopher, astronomer, and mathematician. She was the head of the Neoplatonist school in Alexandria and was famous for her eloquence and learning. She was murdered by a mob of Christians incited by Cyril, the bishop of Alexandria.
