A title of Jesus (see John 1:29). Compare with Agnus Dei.
- They are Reactionaries who wanted to just stick with John the Baptist and didn't go for all that far out stuff about Jesus being the Lamb of God.
- The lamb is associated with John the Baptist who referred to Jesus as ‘the Lamb of God that taketh away the sin of the world.’
- Centuries later, Jesus, the true Lamb of God, shed his blood to free us from our enslavement to sin.
