Definition of Moorpark in English:
Late 18th century: named after either of two houses in southern England, Moor Park in Sussex, the home of Sir William Temple (1628–99), or Moor Park in Hertfordshire, the home of George, Lord Anson (1697–1762). Both men are credited with first cultivating the fruit in England.
