Definition of Vicksburg in English:

A city on the Mississippi River, in western Mississippi; population 24,974 (est. 2008). In 1863, during the Civil War, it was successfully besieged by Union forces. The last Confederate outpost on the river, its loss effectively split the secessionist states in half.
