Achernar

Astronomy
The ninth brightest star in the sky, and the brightest in the constellation Eridanus. It marks the southern limit of Eridanus, and is only visible to observers in the southern hemisphere.

Origin

From Arabic, 'end of the river (i.e., Eridanus)'.
