Bar-Cochba

Pronunciation: /ˌbärˈkôKHbə/
Jewish rebel leader; known as Simeon in Jewish sources. He led the rebellion in ad 132 against the Romans and was accepted by some of his Jewish contemporaries as the Messiah.
