Bradford, William

Pronunciation: /ˈbradfərd/
(1590–1657), American religious and colonial leader. He was a signer of the Mayflower Compact in 1620 and governor of Plymouth Colony sporadically from 1621 until 1656 (1621–32, 1635, 1637, 1639–43, 1645–56).
