Carmichael, Hoagy

Pronunciation: /ˈkärˌmīkəl/
(1899–1981), US jazz pianist, composer, and singer; full name Howard Hoagland Carmichael. His best-known songs include “Stardust” (1929), “Georgia on My Mind” (1930), and “In the Cool, Cool, Cool of the Evening” (1951).
