- The dermis or corium underlying the epidermis is 0.3 to 4.0 mm in thickness and may be divided into two layers, papillary and reticular.
- How it comes to be is actually pretty simple: Underneath the epidermis, or covering of the skin, lies a connected structure of tissue known as the corium, and beneath that lies more matter called subcutaneous tissue.
- Its upper of 2.8mm Idro-Perwanger silicon-impregnated roughcut leather comes from the corium, the section of cow skin just under the less-strong top grain.
