Cornaro Piscopia, Elena Lucrezia

Pronunciation: /kôrˈnärō pisˈkōpēə/
(1646–1684), Venetian philosopher and mathematician. The first woman to be awarded a college degree, she received the doctorate of philosophy from the University of Padua on June 25, 1678.
