Coward, Sir Noël

(1899–1973), English playwright, actor, and composer; full name Sir Noël Pierce Coward. He is remembered for witty, satirical plays, such as Hay Fever (1925) and Private Lives (1930), as well as for revues and musicals featuring songs such as “Mad Dogs and Englishmen” (1932).
