Duras, Marguerite

Pronunciation: /d(y)o͝oˈrä/
(1914–96), French novelist, movie director, and playwright; pseudonym of Marguerite Donnadieu. Her works include the screenplay for Hiroshima mon amour (1959), as well as the semiautobiographical novel L’Amant (1984).
