Dylan, Bob

Pronunciation: /ˈdilən/
(1941-), US singer and songwriter; born Robert Allen Zimmerman. The leader of an urban folk-music revival in the 1960s, he became known for political and protest songs, such as “The Times They Are A-Changin” (1964). Notable albums: Highway 61 Revisited (1965) and Blood on the Tracks (1975).
