Fokine, Michel

Pronunciation: /ˈfôkyin/ /fôˈkēn/
(1880–1942), US dancer and choreographer; born in Russia; born Mikhail Mikhailovich Fokin. He reformed classical ballet. He was Sergi Diaghilev’s chief choreographer at the Ballets Russes 1909–14.
