Harlow, Jean

Pronunciation: /ˈhärlō/
(1911–37), US movie actress; born Harlean Carpenter. Noted for her platinum blonde hair and sex appeal, she had her first big success in the movie Hell’s Angels (1930). Her six movies with Clark Gable included Red Dust (1932) and Saratoga (1937).
