Herbert, Victor

Pronunciation: /ˈhərbərt/
(1859–1924), US composer, conductor, and cellist; born in Ireland. Among his light operas, or operettas, are Babes in Toyland (1903) and Naughty Marietta (1910). He conducted the Pittsburgh Symphony 1889–1904.
