Kundera, Milan

Pronunciation: /ˈko͝ondərə/ /ˌkənˈderə/
(1929-), Czech novelist. He immigrated to France in 1975 after his books were condemned in Czechoslovakia following the Soviet military invasion of 1968. Notable works: The Book of Laughter and Forgetting (1979) and The Unbearable Lightness of Being (1984).
