Definition of linhay in English:
A shed or other farm building open in front, typically with a lean-to roof.
- The plan is to build modern clay dries as well as linhays for each siding on the same foot-print.
- The cob linhay was in very poor condition and had lost its original roof timbers and a substantial section of the cob walling.
- When housed in old fashioned linhays in January the cattle enjoy deep organic straw beds and a diet of pea/barley wholecrop and haylage.
