Entry from British & World English dictionary
An affectionate form of address.
- I don't know about MacMorrough, but 'Macushla' isn't really a name at all - it's a term of endearment (one of the many ways of saying 'my love' in Irish).
- I've never heard of 'Macushla' as a personal name.
From Irish mo 'my' + cuisle 'pulse' (see also acushla).
For editors and proofreaders
Line breaks: ma|cushla
