Nichols, Mike

(1931–2014), US director; born in Germany; born Michael Igor Peschowsky. He directed Barefoot in the Park (1963), The Odd Couple (1965), and Annie (1977) on Broadway. Movies he directed include Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf? (1966), The Graduate (1967), The Birdcage (1996), and Charlie Wilson’s War (2007).
