The part of a bullring where the bull takes its stand.
Example sentences
  • A bull trying to reach its querencia is often more dangerous than a bull that is attacking the cape directly.
  • If the bull doesn't charge directly at the cape, deviating instead toward his querencia, he might run his horns into the matador.
  • If a bullfighter goes in to kill his bull in his querencia, rather than to bring him out of it, he is almost certain to be gored.
