Scipio Aemilianus

Pronunciation: /ˌskipēō iˌmilēˈānəs/
(Circa 185–129 bc), Roman general and politician; full name Publius Cornelius Scipio Aemilianus Africanus Minor; adoptive grandson of Scipio Africanus. He achieved distinction in the siege of Carthage in 146 during the third Punic War and in his campaign in Spain in 133.
