Seeger, Pete

Pronunciation: /ˈsēɡər/
(1919–2014), US folk musician and songwriter. A prominent figure in the revival of American folk music, he is also noted for his environmental activism, especially in projects to reclaim the Hudson River. Notable songs: “If I Had a Hammer” (circa 1949) and “Where Have All the Flowers Gone?” (1956).
