Southey, Robert

Pronunciation: /ˈsouT͟Hē/ Pronunciation: /ˈsəT͟Hē/
(1774–1843), English poet. Associated with the Lake Poets, he was best known for his shorter poems, such as the “Battle of Blenheim” (1798). He was made England’s poet laureate in 1813.
