Stokowski, Leopold

Pronunciation: /stəˈkôfskē/ Pronunciation: /-ˈkou-/
(1882–1977), US conductor, born in Britain. He is best known for arranging and conducting the music for Walt Disney’s movie Fantasia (1940), which sought to bring classical music to movie audiences by means of cartoons.
