Definition of wart snake in English:


A large aquatic fish-eating snake with coarse-textured scales which give it a file-like appearance, native to SE Asia and Australia. Also called file snake.
  • Family Achrochordidae and genus Achrochordus: three species, e.g. the Asian wart snake (A. arafurae)
