- On 6 March section Marat, where the Cordeliers were located, declared itself in a state of uprising ‘until the people's murderers are exterminated’, and marched to the Hôtel de Ville to demand action.
- A vast stretch of dark silk cloth covers almost the entire length (56 meters [184 feet]) of one of the two large halls of the Convent of the Cordeliers.
- Even today, La Paix [Peace] illuminates the nearby old Chapel of the Cordeliers.
