Definition of Iskenderun in English:

A port and naval base in southern Turkey, on the Mediterranean coast; population 177,300 (est. 2007). Formerly named Alexandretta, it lies on or near the site of Alexandria ad Issum, founded by Alexander the Great in 333 bc.
