Definition of Judah in English:

1(In the Bible) a Hebrew patriarch, the fourth son of Jacob.
1.1The tribe of Israel traditionally descended from him, the most powerful of the twelve tribes of Israel.
2The southern part of ancient Palestine, occupied by the tribe of Judah. After the reign of Solomon (circa 930 bc) it formed a separate kingdom from Israel. Later known as Judaea.
