Definition of Serpens in English:

A large constellation (the Serpent) on the celestial equator, said to represent the snake coiled around Ophiuchus. It is divided into two parts by Ophiuchus, Serpens Caput (the ‘head’) and Serpens Cauda (the ‘tail’).
