Definition of advanced subsidiary level in English:
(In the UK except Scotland) a GCE examination at a level between GCSE and advanced level.
- A-level examinations with a grade of ‘E’ or better at the advanced level or advanced subsidiary level will guarantee students credit for use toward their degrees.
- Applicants must achieve standing in at least 5 subject areas, including English, with at least 3 A-levels (or 6 at the advanced subsidiary level).
- Applicants must have completed a minimum of three subjects at the A-level (or six at the advanced subsidiary level) and two subjects at the GCSE or O-level.
