Definition of basha in English:
An improvised shelter for one or a few soldiers.
- The basha was comfy and I had a good night's sleep.
- Today's finishing schools are fringed in white sand and involve swilling out compost toilets and building bashas.
- A basha is more covert, than a tent; mainly due to it being camouflage pattern, but also as it is much lower to the ground and can be set up in places that a tent would not have enough room for.
1920s (originally denoting a bamboo hut with a thatched roof): Assamese.
