Bridges, Robert

Pronunciation: /ˈbrɪdʒɪz/
(1844–1930), English poet and literary critic; full name Robert Seymour Bridges. His long philosophical poem The Testament of Beauty (1929), written in the Victorian tradition, was instantly popular. He was Poet Laureate 1913–30.
