Bunin, Ivan

Pronunciation: /ˈbuːnɪn/
(1870–1953), Russian poet and prose writer; full name Ivan Alekseevich Bunin. An opponent of modernism, he concentrated on the themes of peasant life and love. Nobel Prize for Literature (1933, the first Russian prizewinner).
