Cannizzaro, Stanislao

Pronunciation: /ˌkanɪˈzɑːrəʊ/
(1826–1910), Italian chemist. He revived Avogadro’s hypothesis and used it to distinguish clearly between atoms and molecules, and to introduce the unified system of atomic and molecular weights.
