Pronunciation: /ˈkatɪlʌɪn/
(Circa 108–62 bc), Roman nobleman and conspirator; Latin name Lucius Sergius Catilina. In 63 bc he planned an uprising which was suppressed; his fellow conspirators were executed and he died in battle in Etruria.
