Definition of concurrent resolution in English:
A resolution adopted by both houses of a legislative assembly that does not require the signature of the chief executive and that does not have the force of law.
- Section 5 also allowed Congress at any time to direct removal of the forces by concurrent resolution.
- Only the governor or the Legislature, by concurrent resolution, can end a state of emergency.
- Finally, a 1983 Supreme Court case casts serious doubt on the validity of the provision requiring withdrawal of the armed forces from hostilities upon the adoption of a concurrent resolution.
