Connolly, Cyril

Pronunciation: /ˈkɒnəli/
(1903–74), English writer and journalist; full name Cyril Vernon Connolly. His works include one novel, The Rock Pool (1936), and collections of essays, aphorisms, and reflections, among which are Enemies of Promise (1938) and The Unquiet Grave (1944).
