Corelli, Arcangelo

Pronunciation: /kəˈrɛli/
(1653–1713), Italian violinist and composer. His best-known works are his trio and solo sonatas for the violin and his concerti grossi (published posthumously in 1714), especially the ‘Christmas’ concerto.
