Infestation with a yeast-like fungus, resulting in tumours in the lungs and sometimes spreading to the brain. It occurs chiefly in the United States. Also called torulosis.
  • The fungus is Cryptococcus neoformans, subdivision Deuteromycotina (or class Teliomycetes)
