Darnley, Henry Stewart

Pronunciation: /ˈdɑːnli/
Lord (1545–67), Scottish nobleman, second husband of Mary, Queen of Scots and father of James I of England. He was implicated in the murder of his wife’s secretary Rizzio in 1566, and was later killed in a mysterious gunpowder explosion in Edinburgh.
