Ehrenburg, Ilya

Pronunciation: /ˈɛːrənbəːɡ/
(1891–1967), Russian novelist and journalist; full name Ilya Grigorevich Ehrenburg. He became famous during the Second World War for his anti-German propaganda in Pravda and Red Star. His novels include The Thaw (1954), a work criticizing Stalinism.
