Euler-Chelpin, Hans von

Pronunciation: /ˌɔɪləˈkɛlpɪn/
(1873–1964), German-born Swedish biochemist; full name Hans Karl August Simon von Euler-Chelpin. He worked mainly on enzymes and vitamins, and explained the role of enzymes in the alcoholic fermentation of sugar. Nobel Prize for Chemistry (1929).
