Goldmark, Peter Carl

Pronunciation: /ˈɡəʊldmɑːk/
(1906–77), Hungarian-born American inventor and engineer. He made the first colour television broadcast in 1940, invented the long-playing record in 1948, and pioneered video cassette recording.
