Gordimer, Nadine

Pronunciation: /ˈɡɔːdɪmə/
(1923–2014), South African novelist and short-story writer. Her experience of the effects of apartheid underlies much of her work. Notable novels: The Conservationist (Booker Prize, 1974). Nobel Prize for Literature (1991).
