Grass, Günter

(1927–2015), German novelist, poet, and playwright; full name Günter Wilhelm Grass. Notable works: The Tin Drum (novel, 1959) and The Flounder (novel, 1977). He was awarded the 1999 Nobel Prize for Literature.
